Travel Awards


Graduate Student Travel Awards Guidelines

Purpose: To encourage and assist a graduate student's presentation of their research findings at national and international professional meetings.
Amount: an average of $300 per student.

Open to ALL graduate students ADVISED by CAS Faculty

Application:
- senior author's name
- title of oral or poster presentation
- name, location, and date of meeting
- how funding will be used
- an abstract with objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions must be submitted with application. Limit to one page.
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree candidates (College or intercollege major)
- presentation based on student's original research
- one presentation per degree (this is usually the final presentation, otherwise, provide explanation)
- national meeting (or last chance to present and not previously funded)
- a signature is required from advisor or unit leader
- upon returning from a trip, a travel support form should be submitted through your department for reimbursement. We ask that you do this within two weeks of returning from your trip.

Timetable: Applications will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Submit application, along with abstract, to the Office for Research and Graduate Education, 217 Ag. Administration Bldg.

You must be a registered student at the time of your travel.
