Seeking applications that support training initiatives that are national in scope and further the DHS mission of preparing the nation to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from risks posed by man, nature, and technology. Approximately $29.1 million is available to support 20 awards. Higher education institutions are eligible to apply if they have existing programs that address one of the focus areas. Applications are due by May 4, 2007.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Announces Postdoctoral Associateship Program
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology directorate announced it is seeking applications for up to 10 postdoctoral sssociates to conduct mission-focused research at DHS-affiliated venues, including DHS Centers of Excellence, DHS laboratories, and homeland security activities at Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories. Application deadlines are February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1 for reviews in mid-March, mid-June, mid-September and mid-January, respectively.
